GRUMPY faces won't get dates on Valentine's Day.

It's as simple as that.

But it's not all bad news. Murwillumbah kinergetics expert Ronda Graham believes most people would do much better on the big day if they just felt better within themselves.

Times are tough, money is short, stress is high, but it's time to start thinking about the kind of energy we're exuding, she said.

"You can get your sexy back," Ms Graham said.

"Connecting with someone else is all about the energy you give out, and if it's negative, you usually don't stand a chance.

"If you're exuding confidence and feel free to express yourself and share yourself with others, then that is very attractive."

Kinergetics helps release stress by identifying tense areas through muscle testing and, ideally, could make you a more relaxed, approachable date.
