World Environment Day program
THERE will be plenty of excitement to be had next weekend to celebrate World Environment Day.
The Tweed Valley World Environment Day Festival on Sunday June 3 in Murwillumbah's Knox Park includes music from Bill Jacobi, who practices a variety of music, and Groovai, who blends instruments such as tabla, guitar and double bass as well as vocals, improvising on blues, jazz and ragas.
The Caldera Environment Centre organised the event to include music, children's activities and workshops with an environmental tinge.
The program also includes Koori Kids Dance Troop, The Hoopla Circus and The Pitts Family Circus.
There are many inclusive opportunities for children, such as face-painting, and creating natural puppets. Everyone will be able to help in the community art projects.
