ALTHOUGH the man himself is no longer with us, fans of Michael Jackson can get a taste of what is was like to be present at one of his 'live' concerts.
The world's number one Michael Jackson impersonator, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Michael, will headline a show titled 'History - a spectacular tribute to the King of Pop' on August 3 and 4 at Twin Towns.
American Kenny Wizz will be joined by a band of musicians and dancers all wearing authentic costumes recreated from some of Michael's most famous performances, including outfits he wore while singing ABC, Ben, Smooth Criminal and Beat It.
The 'live concert' experience features a musical biography that will take people back to the songs of the Jackson 5, followed by the long and sometimes controversial path Michael took to become one of the world's most popular artists of all time.
Los Angeles born Kenny Wizz grew up performing with his own street dancing troupe.
Following the release of Jackson's album 'Thriller' Wizz used his resemblance to the music star to secure a spot as the King of Pop in a Las Vegas production called Splash, a tribute to Michael's work.
Kenny, who has performed as Michael at Las Vegas' Riviera Hotel and Casino for the last 11 years, is in increasing demand following Michael's passing.
He boasts an outstanding ability to execute all of the original Moonwalker's dance moves as well as perform all of the King's most famous songs.
The Twin Towns shows will feature over 20 of Jackson's greatest hits performed by Kenny and will start at 8.30pm.
Tickets are $51 and available from the booking office on 1800 014 014 or (07) 5536 1977, at the door on the night or online at Twin Towns website at http://www.twintowns.com.au/showroom.html.
