Wilde night for amateur theatre buffs
NEARLY 120 years may have passed but The Importance of Being Earnest is as relevant as ever.
And anyone in the mood for a Wilde night of local theatre can head to the latest Clarence Coast Theatrical Society (CCTS) production at the Maclean High School Hall.
Written by legendary Irish playwright Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest is a comedy that has been entertaining audiences for more than a century now.
"It's hilarious and shockingly still very relevant to modern audiences," director Melanie Pease said.
The Importance of Being Earnest opens at 7pm tomorrow night at the Maclean High School Hall, also next Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for children and pensioners, and are available at the Maclean Flower Box, River St, Maclean.
