THESE kids will never have to spell out their surnames letter by letter to anyone.
They've got the most popular surnames across the Northern Rivers in 2012 as counted from the White Pages by Sensis.
There was no shortage of Smiths, Browns and Wilsons at Centaur Primary School yesterday.
Luke Wilson said his kids Dylan and Melanie were part of a big family, full of popular names.
His parents, originally from Kyogle, spread the Wilson name across the Northern Rivers, and other common names have married into the family.
"Their grandmother married a Brown so we've got plenty of popular names in the family," Mr Wilson said.
"My parents were from Kyogle before moving up this way.
"It definitely made it easy for the kids in kindergarten learning to spell their name.
"Really nice and easy."
Brothers Jaedyn and Cameron Brown admitted they hadn't met too many people with the same name.
"Not many of my friends have the same name, not really," Jaedyn said.
It comes as no surprise that Smith, Brown and Wilson made the top three, followed by Williams and Taylor.
New entries that differed to the 2011 list were McDonald and Moore, edging Walker and Robinson from the list.
