COOLUM singer Darren Percival has been hitting all the right notes since he won the hearts of 2.5 million music lovers on The Voice.

The 40-year-old jazz vocalist made the nation proud by singing the national anthem at the State of Origin final in front of 53,000 diehard football fans.

The Daily can today exclusively announce that Darren will take centre stage at the Caloundra Music Festival.

He will join big names John Bulter Trio, The Cat Empire, The Living End, The Beards, Boom Crash Opera, Laine Lane, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, and The Whitlams.

The sixth annual Caloundra Music Festival will be held over the weekend of September 28-30.

It is a big news day for Darren as his first album since leaving The Voice stage hits the shelves with record label Universal.

The other two runner-up contestants, Sarah De Bono and Rachael Leahcar, will also release their post-show tunes.

Other newly announced headline acts for the Caloundra Music Festival include Noiseworks, The Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Mama Kin, Bustamento, Nicky Bomba and the CMF All Stars.
