Clarence Valley is a top spot for tourists
YAMBA, Iluka and Maclean played host to 235,000 Australians during the past financial year, making it the second most visited destination in the Northern Rivers for domestic tourists.
The only North Coast destination more Australians visited was Byron Bay, which hosted 408,000 holidaymakers.
Clarence River Tourism manager Jenny Massie said it was good news, especially considering the poor economic climate and the rainy summer the coast had.
"We are absolutely delighted to see Yamba, Iluka and Maclean attracting so many Australians," she said.
