WAYFARERS Australia has been performing for audiences all over the nation since 1997 and now the choral group has announced that they will be touring internationally.

The group performed at the Tyalgum Steiner School on Tuesday in a show that marked the end of their south-eastern tour of Australia.

Judith Clingan, director and composer of Wayfarers, said she loved visiting and living in the Tweed region.

"The Tyalgum Steiner School offers a great acoustic sound which is perfect for Wayfarers," she said.

"I own property out in Crystalvale, west of Murwillumbah, and you could say that's part of the reason why I love bringing the choir to this beautiful place."

Wayfarers will begin their international tour in June where they will travel across Taiwan and mainland China.

The choral group performs to a range of themes, from the medieval to The Lord of the Rings.

"Last Saturday we presented the Ring Bearer at the Byron Bay Community Centre, a play based off The Lord of the Rings," said Mrs Clingan.

The international tour will come to a close in October.
