Water users get full allocation

LICENSED water users in the Tweed River catchment will receive a 100% water allocation for the next 12 months.

NSW Water Commissioner David Harriss announced that the users for the Tweed River, as well as the Upper Brunswick River, Coffs Harbour, Coopers Creek, Bellinger River, Dorrigo Plateau surface water and Dorrigo Basalt groundwater, Toorumbee Creek, Commissioners Waters and Apsley River and Alstonville Plateau and Stuarts Point groundwater sources would receive full allocations for the 2012/13 financial year.

High security access licence holders in the Richmond Regulated Water Source will receive one mega litre per unit share of entitlement or 100% of allocation, while general security licences holders will receive one mega litre per unit share or 100% of entitlement.

All other water access licence holders covered by the Richmond River area unregulated, regulated and alluvial water sources water sharing plan will receive 100% of entitlement or one mega litre per unit share.
