Warriors march to celebrate their achievements

WARRIORS will march from Point Danger to Jack Evans Boat Harbour to celebrate what they are doing well early next month.

Mibbinbah, an indigenous health promotion charity group, organised the Warrior March to bring men from all over together to show they are strong.

"The march is to bring lads together to march as one," Mibbinbah CEO Jack Bulman said.

"It's also about showing that we are leaders and that we can be leaders."

Last year about 80 men took part in the peaceful march through the twin towns.

This year organisers from Mibbinbah are hoping for more.

Mr Bulman said he expected, much like last year, indigenous men to come from up and down the east coast to march.

"There will also be a barbeque lunch after for anyone who wants to come and have a yarn," he said.

The Warrior March kicks off at Point Danger in November 3 at 10am.
