Twitter feed dictates court judgment to a busy Tony Abbott
TONY Abbott says he's too busy to read a damning court judgment criticising Mal Brough's role in the Peter Slipper affair, but thankfully, a Twitter user with time on his side is ready to help.
Twitter user @ashbyslipper is sending the Opposition leader the findings of the Federal Court's decision to throw out a sexual harassment case brought against Fisher MP and former Speaker Peter Slipper by former staffer, James Ashby.
The Twitter user, whose identity is unknown, is making his way through the judgment, at 140 characters at a time. All tweets are directed to Tony Abbott's Twitter account, @TonyAbbottMHR.
Yesterday, Mr Abbott said he had been too busy to read the court's judgement, saying he was busy "doing very important things for the people of Australia."
Justice Steven Rares found that Mr Brough had conspired with Mr Slipper's accusers, James Ashby and media adviser Karen Doane to bring Mr Slipper down and 'advance the interests of the LNP and Mr Brough'.
