MIRAMAR community at Casuarina Beach launched last week with a stylish opening and high hopes for the future.

Deals were finalised and final lots were sold as a sizeable crowd of locals, builders, agents and prospectice buyers came and celebrated the success of the first stage of development.

Villawood Properties executive Tony Johnson said Miramar had been successful and the company was looking forward to expanding operations across the region.

"Miramar is selling fast and that's because we have a large-lot product, great beachside location and the Tweed Coast market is firing," he said.

Mr Johnson also revealed that Villawood was hoping to build more developments in the region.

"Villawood hopes to secure more stategic sites like Miramar in Northern New South Wales and South-East Queensland in the near future as we believe the region has great potential," he said.

The $100 million community has some of the largest lots in the Tweed which range from 613 to 739sqm.

Buildings will begin to spring up from mid next year when construction begins.
