The Bondi vet learns to draw
IRINA Kirpichnikova teaches her art students to see the world as it really is.
"Seventy per cent of what we see isn't there," Ms Kirpichnikova says. "It's a projection."
The classes she runs at her Byron Bay Arts Studio awaken the brain.
In a three-hour class, people who have never drawn or painted before are able to create an artwork of a reasonably good standard.
That was the case recently of the Bondi vet Chris Brown, whose role in the Channel 10 TV show, The Living Room, takes him around the world to experience quirky challenges.
Dr Brown decided he wanted to learn how to paint, so he had a St Bernard dog accompnay him to Byron for one of Irina's classes.
"I tutored him through the process and he did a great job," she said.
The result - seen in the photo above - proved Irina's theory of learning was correct.
The dashing doctor's art experience can be seen this Friday at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
