Group supporting the Westpac helicopter in the Valley

WESTPAC Life Saver Rescue Helicopter's Grafton Helicopter support group is preparing for an action-packed 2013.

The group was re-formed last year and Grafton resident Chris Tuite has been appointed chair person of the group.

Chris and long term supporter Revee West along with the other members of the group are busy planning fundraising events for the year.

"We love the Helicopter and want to help it keep flying its life saving missions," Mr Tuite said.

Chris and Revee met up with Helicopter board chairperson Warren Tozer and Community Relations Officer Russ Holland.

"We are so grateful to the support group for the work they do," Mr Tozer said.

"Having Russ and the support group in Grafton gives the Clarence Valley a strong support base to turn to when they want to help the Helicopter."

The support group holds fundraising events throughout the year and can help individuals and groups with their fundraising efforts.

"We are a support group for the Helicopter, and that's what we are here for," Mr Tuite said.

"We welcome fundraising ideas and new members."

To find out more about the support group or to discuss fundraising ideas, phone Russ Holland on 0411 303 660.
