Stephanie Gilmore through to semi-finals of Roxy Pro

TWEED Heads surfer Stephanie Gilmore has made it through to the semi-final round of the Roxy Pro this morning.

Gilmore and the final seven surfers were out at Kirra this morning after event organisers decided to move the event from Snapper Rocks.

Gilmore with a score of 12.97, easily dispatch Hawaiian Alana Blanchard in their quarter final.

The ride of the day also went to Gilmore with a score of 9.8 after having breakfast in a barrel on the famous break.

NSW surfer Sally Fitzgibbons also advanced after defeating South African Bianca Buitendag, 14.20 to 1.50.

Gilmore will go head to head with Tyler Wright in the semi finals.

The competition was postponed after the girls completed the quarter finals and Round 2 of the Quiksilver Pro is scheduled for 1.30pm today.
