Sounds of Christmas to launch the festive season
PREPARE to be serenaded for this Christmas season will be kicking off with the Voice Weaver's first Christmas Variety Concert.
The Coolangatta Tweed community will enjoy the melodious voices of several musical groups on November 30 when the performance is held at the Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club Auditorium at 7.30pm.
The performance will be held in a cabaret format and the audience will be serenaded by musical groups like The Blenders, Harmony in Paradise, Champagne and several others including the Voice Weavers.
Tickets cost $27 and cover the performance as well as a two course dinner, and can be purchased online from trybooking.com.
Voice Weavers music director Brett Logan said that while voice weavers had held many performances this is their first variety concert with other groups.
"It's lovely to get together," he said.
"Christmas music is enjoyable music, everyone knows it.
"Most of the Christmas music has been designed to be sung by choirs and choral groups."
The Blenders presentation co-ordinator Stephen Griffin said he was looking forward to the concert.
"It's a chance for us to give back to the community and have fun."
