TWEED Heads Seagulls' season is over after being whipped 30-4 by Wynnum-Manly in the Queensland Rugby League Intrust Cup preliminary final at Kougari Oval on Sunday.

The victors were in control from the outset and never let Tweed into the match, eventually posting a five tries to one victory.

Two of those tries went to one of the Seagulls former favourite sons, mercurial winger, Nathanael Barnes who left the Tweed nest at the end of last season after being contracted to the Brisbane Broncos - Wynnum is the Broncos' feeder club.

Wynnum now advance to next Sunday's grand at Suncorp Stadium where they will face minor premiers, Redcliffe Dolphins.
