SHE'S only 24 and she's already been a household name for most of her adult life.

From delivering those infamous lines in Australia's most controversial tourism campaign to her engagement to one of cricket's brightest stars to several nude photo scandals, Lara Bingle never seems to stay out of the spotlight for long.

The public is about to see another side to Bingle with the upcoming debut of her reality series Being Lara Bingle.

"I've been through a lot over the past five or six years," Bingle told The Guide.

The show's premiere episode starts with a storm of controversy over the most recent nude photos of Bingle shot through the window of her new Bondi apartment.

"Yes, I have this up and down scandalous stuff that I do take responsibility for. I create some of it, but not all of it," she said.

"Yes, there were the nude photos. There have been lots of other things on camera as well that there's no knowledge about yet.

"But the advantage to the show is you get to see the other side of it. If I'm watching a reality show that's what I want to see."

There has also been former fiance Michael Clarke's surprise wedding, Bingle's reaction to which is also expected to feature on the show.

Bingle reveals she was first approached to do a reality series two years ago, right around the time of her split with Clarke.

"The producer's been asking to do this show for quite some time," she said.

"I guess it was just the timing. I said yes now. I feel comfortable and confident going into this."

The series features the people closest to Bingle - her mum Sharon, brother Josh, manager and best mate Hermione Underwood and agent Max Markson.

"It's a weird thing to ask your family to be on a show of your own," she said.

"I'm so lucky they've agreed to do this for me.

"Even when I get flustered and things are going on I have to remember that."

But not everyone wants to be on camera.

"You definitely have those people who are camera shy and don't want to be involved, including my boyfriend," she said, referring to her new beau fashion designer Gareth Moody.

With only a few weeks of shooting under her belt, Bingle said she had already become close with the show's crew.

"It's almost like a family now," she said.

"Everyone gets on really well. We have dinners off camera. The crew is really supportive. I trust them."

Being Lara Bingle will air on Channel Ten , Tuesday June 12 at 8pm.
