Q&A planned for council hopefuls
RESIDENTS will get an opportunity to grill local election candidates at the next Tweed Heads Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
The breakfast starting at August 14 will be one of the first opportunities for people to see and hear from all the candidates with the nominations for the local elections closing August 8.
Chamber president Rory Curtis said the total number of candidates to appear at the breakfast wouldn't be known until the nomination deadline, but he was hoping to include the lead candidate on each team.
"We have done similar things to this previously," Mr Curtis said.
He said each speaker would have several minutes to introduce themselves and address issues such as water resources and economic development on the Tweed.
There will also be opportunity for questions to be asked from the floor.
