THE desexing program run by Friends of The Pound has received a much needed boost to its bank account, all thanks to Rory Curtis The Good Guys.

Sonia Tricher from the Friends could not be happier, the financial cost now eased thanks to the funding.

"We are ecstatic they are back on board, the de sexing program is so important but puts a large strain on our cash flow as it takes up so much of our budget," Mrs Tricher said.

Pam Price, vice president of the Friends and a devoted animal carer, is looking after Sage, a nine week old Great Dane Cross whose owners could not afford the vet bills after she lost an eye when her mother attached her.

"It is wonderful when we can get financial help like we are from The Good Guys, members of the public can benefit from drastically reduced costs for desexing etc," Mrs Price said.
