TWEED detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they want to question over an armed robbery at Banora Point.

A man armed with a firearm entered a shopping centre on Leisure Dr at about 8pm on January 28.

He threatened an employee in the video shop demanding cash.

Police said the store attendant handed over money before the man fled on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives have now released CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is depicted in the footage as being of Caucasian appearance, aged about 35 years, 168-173cm tall, and wearing a black t-shirt.

Anyone who may have information about the incident should contact Tweed Heads detectives on 07 5536 0999 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The robbery on Monday came three days after another armed robbery at Banora Point.

Police said the robberies were being investigated independently.
