UPDATED, 4.21pm: The missing 24-year-old man was found located safe and well. 

 

INITIAL REPORT, 8.51am: POLICE and family of a missing Coolangatta man hold concerns from his welfare.

They are appealing for public assistance to help locate the 24-year-old.

He was last seen about 11.30pm Saturday night at a Haig St address.

Police and family hold concerns as he suffers from a medical condition.

He is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, around 180cm tall and 90kg with short black hair.

He was wearing bright multi-coloured board shorts.

Police have undertaken an extensive search for the man throughout the day, including foot, vehicle and aerial patrols.

The search was suspended at midnight and resumed at 6am this morning.
