Nunderi's a close-knit community
THE best person to talk to about a town is someone who was born there.
Such is the case with the village of Nunderi and Cathy Quodrill.
Cathy lives a stones throw from the house she grew up in.
"Nunderi is a great place to grow up,' she said.
"That's why I've chosen to raise my three girls here,' she said.
With her mum and dad close by, it's the perfect life for a growing family.
"It may be a village, but the community is very close and we have many friends," Ms Quodrill said.
"I'm not sure what the meaning of the villages' name is, but I know it is an Aboriginal."
The village grew up around the sugar cane industry.
"The lifestyle and good country living has kept me here," said Ms Quodrill.
