NOROC coughs up for CSG research

THE PEAK body for councils on the Northern Rivers (NOROC) has agreed to help fund baseline research at Southern Cross University.

The research will focus on the potential impacts of coal seam gas extraction on surface and groundwater.

The funding, a one-off grant of $15,000, was approved at today's NOROC meeting.
