Multitask Xmas pop-up shop
FOR the third year in a row, Multitask disability services provider has opened a Christmas pop-up shop in Magellan Street, Lismore.
Multitask employs 97 local people with disabilities to make products ranging from soap, to plant protector sleeves and sandals.
Profits from sales go to the workforce and towards their training, said Joe World, the organisation's business services program manager.
"We set up wherever there is a vacant shop in the main block of Lismore's CBD," Mr World said.
"It's a great way to get our name out and let the community know what Multitask does."
Mr World said the group's Christmas shop has gained a loyal following and customers from previous years urged the organisation to open another Christmas shop this year.
"A lot of people come in because they want to shop locally. They also know that we have a good product and often come in looking for our organically-certified soaps."
The shop at 52 Magellan Street will be open until the 22nd of December.
