Police investigate gunshot injury

A MAN who police believed had associated with an outlaw motorcycle gang was admitted to Tweed Hospital with a gunshot wound on Sunday.

The 34-year-old man presented himself to hospital around 1.40am with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The man underwent surgery and Tweed police were called to investigate the incident.

Police attempted to interview the man but he refused to assist with their inquiries.

Police believe he was brought to the hospital by an unidentified person driving a white Ford Festiva sedan.
