WHERE is better than the Bahamas for a wedding?

Silly question - the Bexhill open air cathedral of course!

Bahamian bridegroom Steve Kemp and his Gold Coast-based love Hayley Matthew chose the date of the century - 12-12-12 - to wed at the renowned open air cathedral.

Reverend John Thornton of the Lismore Uniting Church did the honours before about 70 guests and a bridal party that included a total of 12 attendants for the bride and groom.

The wedding party and most of the guests travelled to the ceremony in unique style, hiring a former London red double-decker bus from Byron Bay to the cathedral at Inspiration Point.

The couple plan to settle together at Surfers Paradise.
