As you might expect from the title, this is not a hard-hitting book; this is a great holiday read, or something a bit fun to have on the nightstand.
After meeting the gorgeous and charismatic Simon, Georgia swaps her fabulous life in Sydney for Los Angeles, risking it all for a chance at love.
Georgia soon finds out, however, that Simon is not the man he seemed to be, and she has left her entire world behind for a bad marriage and a man who is intent on making her miserable (and he really does go out of his way to make her miserable). LA is a tough town - especially for a girl with no friends, no money and no job. But Georgia finds her way through the liars, fakes and cheats to become a successful celebrity journalist and soon realises she's fallen in love again, this time with her new home town of LA.
Georgia Cassimatis is clearly in love with LA and the celebrity life, and the book is a fun and engaging read although it does fall a little short in the celebrity anecdote stakes.
