POLICE have not ruled-out laying more charges on a Ballina man who was arrested yesterday for allegedly kidnapping a woman from a Coffs Harbour hotel.

The 22-year-old man, who was accused of kidnapping the 29-year-old woman and dumping her unconscious in a strange place on November 11, was arrested at his home yesterday after a two-week search.

The man appeared in Lismore court this morning charged with take and detain a person with intent to obtain an advantage.

However, police said "there may be further inquiries into other charges".

The man was refused bail to appear in Lismore court on Monday.
