James to make Titans comeback
THE Gold Coast Titans will welcome four new faces to its line-up against Cronulla this Sunday including a Tweed Heads Seagulls player returning from injury.
The team had to mix things up with three players out preparing for State of Origin and another off with injury.
Luke Bailey is out with a rib injury and Nate Myles, Ashley Harrison and Greg Bird are preparing for next week's Origin game two clash.
Ryan James, Michael Henderson, Brenton Lawrence and centre/winger Steve Michaels on the interchange bench.
Coach John Cartwright named the new-look 17-man squad on Tuesday.
The inclusion of 20-year-old James marks his first appearance in the NRL since undergoing a knee reconstruction midway through last season.
James has played several matches in the Queensland Cup for feeder club Tweed Heads Seagulls in his comeback from the injury.
Experienced prop Henderson, who has played 111 NRL matches, will also make his first NRL appearance for the year, while Lawrence and Michaels return to first grade after some strong form for Queensland Cup feeder club Burleigh Bears.
