A HOLIDAY park in the Tweed has won back-to-back national awards for excellence in the caravan industry.
BIG4 North Star Holiday Resort at Hastings Point has won the Best of the Best Award from the Caravan and Camping Industry Association (CCIA) Award for Excellence for a second year in a row.
The awards held last week recognised caravan and holiday parks, manufactured home village and estates, as well as caravan and RV manufacturers.
BIG4 North Star marketing coordinator Andrew Bradley said it was an honour to win the award.
"These awards are designed to recognise business excellence in the caravan and camping sector, and are the highest accolades that a caravan, RV or camping business can achieve," Mr Bradley said.
The award last week capped off an award-winning year for North Star owners Ian and Diana Beadel.
In March, BIG4 North Star was named the Best Tourist and Caravan Park in Australia at the Australian Tourism Awards.
"Already this year we have won the BIG one - the Australian Tourism Award - and now another two CCIA awards," Mr Bradley said
Mr Beadel said that children thought the holiday park was like staying at a theme park.
"It's non-stop entertainment for the kids and the best part is that it's all included," he said.
"At the moment, that's what families want: an affordable family holiday that's easy on the wallet but big on fun.
"For over 30 years, we've watched our industry evolve dramatically to a point where visitors demand better facilities and a wider range of accommodation than ever before."
The popular holiday park brings over 100,000 bed nights to the Tweed each year.
There are 129 tourist sites including holiday apartments and cabins and 199 long-term sites.
