Gwydir Hwy re-opened after bushfire closure

THE Gwydir Highway has reopened in both directions, 10 kilometres west of Jackadgery in the Gilbralter Range, after an earlier bushfire.

Motorists can now travel directly between Glen Innes and Grafton.

But, motorists should continue to exercise caution, as there could be rocks and fallen trees on the road.
