Flood relief for M'bah Showground
MURWILLUMBAH Showground will get some long needed repairs following the allocation of $3580 from the State Government's natural disaster grant.
Lismore MP Thomas George announced the funding today for damage sustained by buildings on the site during the October 2010 floods.
"The floods damaged exterior walls of some buildings, the grounds and fencing on the reserve," Mr George said.
Mr George said the funds will be paid to the showground reserve trust towards the cost of repairs."
That's where the natural disaster relief scheme comes in to support the continuing function of Crown reserves that service communities across the state," he said.
"I am pleased Government has been able to assist at this popular local reserve."
