Festival all wrapped up with fashion parade
The 2013 Bleach festival was wrapped up successfully over the weekend having drawn 20,000 people than last year's festivities.
One of the most successful events Sway on Sunset, a fashion poolside soiree, took place on Saturday at Komune Resort, Coolangatta.
The music and fashion parade showcased popular local labels and designers Arkive True Vintage, Love St, Emma Milikins, LoveBird and the remarkable Lisa Brown.
The evening also saw a synchronised swimming display from WaterGrace, and a visual music display from Ginger and The Ghost.
Festival Director Louise Bezzina said Sway on Sunset was an absolute success showcasing a great display of Gold Coast fashion, design and music.
"It was one of the highlights of bleach," said Ms Bezzina.
"We had about 350 people that attended Sway on Sunset, with lots of sponsors that came along."
Bleach Festival was dubbed a success with people from all ages, drawing in sold out crowds despite the damp weather.
"There were great audiences," said Ms Bezzina.
"Bleach Boulevard in Currumbin was the biggest event by far; it took over Currumbin and was extraordinary."
"Bleach last wave also sold out."
"We managed to find other locations for events when it was raining as well as fill the venues"
Organisers will have to start planning next year's Bleach as this year's festival comes to a close.
"We will pretty much have to start planning next year's bleach straight away, it's a massive job," said Ms Bezzina.
