EMERGENCY services are on the scene at a fire on the Tweed Valley Way, Murwillumbah.

An old railway shed is engulfed in flames.

At 2pm the structure collapsed and firefighters said it was too hot to search for anybody who could possibly be trapped inside.

Officials are unsure if anybody is inside but witnesses told the Daily News there were nine people inside yesterday.

It is uncertain if anybody is injured.

A sign on the exterior of the building said flammable liquids were stored inside.

A glass import building next door remained unaffected.

An ambulance was on scene until it got called a crash 5km down the road.
