Drink-driver caught after crash

A WOMAN will appear in Tweed Heads Local Court later this month after smashing her car into a tree on Clothiers Creek Rd while drunk.

About 10.30pm on Friday night the 44-year-old woman, from Point Lookout, Queensland, lost control of her car in wet conditions on a sharp bend and collided with a tree.

A subsequent breath test revealed the woman had a mid-range blood alcohol reading.

She was issued a court attendance notice and her license was suspended.

No one was injured in the accident.
