Murwillumbah Community Centre signed, sealed and delivered
THE hard work is done and now it's time for the pomp and ceremony as the Murwillumbah Community Centre in Knox Park gets officially opened this Saturday.
Richmond MP Justine Elliot will do the honours at the centre in Knox Park at 11am when she officially opens the centre in Knox Park, Murwillumbah.
Mrs Elliott said she had signed, sealed and delivered on the centre.
"The federal government has promised, committed and delivered $2 million of funding towards the construction of the $3.1 million Community Centre," she said.
"The opening of the Community Centre shows how much we can achieve when all work together."
She recently spoke in federal parliament about how important the Murwillumbah Community Centre is to the Tweed area.
Other funding for the centre came from Tweed Shire Council, the Lions Club of Murwillumbah and the NSW government's Community Building Partnerships.
