Cigarettes stolen in early morning attack on IGA

A CURRUMBIN IGA store was broken into in the early hours of this morning.

Gold Coast police southern patrol services Inspector Damien Crosby said about 4am an offender entered the store and stole cigarettes.

The amount is still unknown.

It is believes the thief forced their way into the store's front door with a heavy implement.

Currently there are no suspects.

Investigations are continuing and CCTV footage is being recovered.

Inspector Crosby asked anyone with information to please Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
