Caravan Park resident scares off would-be thief

AN aggravated break-in occurred at Royal Pacific Caravan Park in Chinderah this morning.

A male offender attempted to enter a caravan within the Royal Pacific Caravan Park, Chinderah Rd at around 3.15am but was confronted by the male occupant of the caravan who was not happy to see the would-be thief.

A confrontation occurred and the offender fled on foot.

Acting Inspector Jason Dowds said the thief had been scared off.

"There was an aggravated break-in at Royal Pacific Caravan Park, but no property stolen," he said.

"The owner of the caravan confronted him and the offender ran."

Police have not yet apprehended the offender.
