Car found on retaining wall

A WOMAN will appear in court after an alleged drunken crash left her car hanging over a retaining wall in Terranora on Tuesday.

Police reports state the 29-year-old Tweed Heads woman blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.176 after crashing her car just before 1pm.

Complaints of a woman driving dangerously were lodged with police moments before patrolling officers found her car crashed on Sunnycrest Dr, Terranora.

The woman is not believed to have been injured and there was no one else in the car at the time.

Inspector Darren Steel of Tweed police said further enquiries revealed the woman's Victorian license was expired.

She will appear in Tweed Heads Local Court on July 2, 2012.
