Buildings sprayed with bullets
UPDATED, 2.30pm:
Sgt Saul Wiseman from Tweed Police said it was too early at this stage to determine what weapons were used in the attack.
"A crime investigation unit from Lismore viewed the scene," he said.
"A variety of exhibits were found and will be sent to our ballistics experts to be identified.
"We will continue to interview the victims and witnesses to determine the nature of the shootings."

POLICE were called to Enterprise Ave, Tweed Heads South at 7.30am this morning after staff from three businesses in the avenue found the buildings had been sprayed with bullets from what could possibly be a semi-automatic weapon.
At 11.45pm last night, a 17-year-old female dancer returned with her dance group from Brisbane to find her Toyota Camry smashed up in the carpark outside Dance force, one of the three buildings.
Dancer Danny Hindmarsh said the group of dancers hadn't realised the extent of the damage until this morning.
"We had no idea there was a gun involved until we saw the multiple bullet holes in the windows and walls of the buildings this morning," he said.
"It's really shocking and frightening to think that someone could do something like this."
The 17-year-old owner of the car said she wasn't surprised by the attack.
"I'm not happy because it's my first car," she told My Daily News.
"But there's nothing I can do now. I think that's why it was targeted."
Around 20 bullet holes are visible on the front windows on both ground and first floor levels, with a concrete wall on the side of the buildings also spattered with bullet holes.

"Owner of Kozii Swimwear in Enterprise Avenue, Barry Swain said the avenue was notorious for "petrol heads" hooning and drag racing in the street.
"But the gunfire is something new," he said.
"It's getting out of hand.
"We need regular police patrols to address the issue.
"If not, someone will be killed."
