Bronte is our top young citizen
A HIGH achiever in both sporting and academic realms, the future looks bright for the Clarence Valley's Young Citizen of the Year, Bronte Beresford.
"Bronte is a very highly respected young citizen," Cr Sue Hughes said at the award ceremony in the Grafton Community Centre on Friday night.
Bronte has represented her school in every sport imaginable.
She has also represented NSW in netball, swimming and touch football.
At the Northern Rivers zone swimming meet, Bronte achieved the honour of the senior girls champion but she still finds time to take part in acting classes run by the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts.
Bronte attended the Dawn Service for Anzac Day and marched in the Anzac Day parade.
"I was pretty surprised when they read out my name because I did not think I would win the award," Bronte said.
