A YOUNG girl, believed to be from Banora Point, was taken to hospital following a snake bite about noon today.
A North Coast Area Health spokesperson said paramedics transported the girl to Tweed Hospital's emergency department.
The girl was said to be in a stable condition.
The type of snake had not yet been identified.
