Mullumbimby man found dead in Thai hotel

AN Australian man found dead in a Bangkok hotel last week is understood to be from Mullumbimby.

On Friday, Thai media reported the bodies of two men, Australian and Canadian nationals, were found in a hotel room in the Klong Toey district by a maid.

The Bangkok Post identified the men as Angus Eric Campbell, 27, and Casamel Stephen, 31.

Angus Campbell grew up in Mullumbimby and was well known and respected in the local community where his family still resides.

According to reports, local authorities estimated the time of death to be 12 and 24 hours prior to discovery.
