Rain rules the day in Trinidad

RAIN washed away any hopes of a result for either team in the second Test between West Indies and Australia at Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad.

The match ended in a draw with the Windies 2 for 53 when the heavens opened chasing Australia's target of 215.

Ricky Ponting top-scored with 41, while Matthew Wade was unbeaten on 31.

Paceman Kemar Roach (pictured) was named man of the match after becoming the West Indies bowler to take 10 wickets in a match since 2007.

Roach finished with 5-41 in the second innings and match figures of 10-146.

It wasn't all doom and gloom for Australia though because after having won the first Test, the draw ensured Australia retained the Frank Worrell Trophy ahead of the third and final Test in Dominica on Monday.

Fast bowlers Peter Siddle and James Pattinson have been ruled out of the rest of the tour due to back soreness.
