Art Cafe delights the senses

THE Tweed Valley Artists Cooperative will hold its third annual Art Cafe next Saturday at Tyalgum Hall.

The event will exhibit the work of local artists and feature craft demonstrations, live music performances and a variety of food and beverages stalls selling such goodies as gourmet cakes, toasted sandwiches and coffee and teas.

Bray Park artist and violinist Jan Snowdon will exhibit and perform her work both visually and musically while Mt Burrell singer and guitarist Dave Innes will jam with musicians who are ready, willing and able.

Cooperative publicity person Jan Lobban said the day was a great opportunity to meet artists and enjoy some of the superb food and drinks on offer while taking in the atmosphere of the historic hall.

The cooperative operates a small gallery in Tyalgum Hall called "the Gallery" where the members normally show and sell their art and crafts.

Apart from offering artists the opportunity to sell their work, Saturday's Art Cafe will also give them the chance to discuss their methods, techniques and approaches with other art enthusiasts.

Proceeds of the cafe will go towards the running costs of the cooperative.

The free event will run from10.30am until 3.30pm.
