Handgun used in Banora Point takeaway shop robbery
AN automatic pistol was used in the armed robbery of a Banora Point takeaway shop on Saturday.
According to police, a 25 to 30-year-old man entered It's All Good Takeaway on the corner of Ash and Amaroo Drs about 4.30pm.
Acting Inspector Jason Dowds said the man producing a black, automatic pistol before demanding money.
"He demanded the cashier empty the till and got approximately $500," Acting Insp Dowds said.
"He escaped on foot.
"Detectives are still investigating."
The man had short, shaved black hair.
