Access for all at Men's Shed
THINGS have been "ramped" up a notch at the Murwillumbah Community Men's Shed with completion of a disability ramp and carpark.
The shed is well on the way to its official opening.
A few issues have to be addressed before Tweed Shire Council can give the green light to the shed co-ordinators.
"The provision of a ramp and carpark clears the way for our official launch," said the organisation's secretary John Pitt.
There's a busy month of events ahead as the shed's members join Tweed Men's shed organisers for a Father's day BBQ at Bunnings on August 30.
On September 8 another BBQ is planned at the Civic Centre, Murwillumbah, with a stall at the Chillingham Sunday markets on September 9 and a garage sale set for Sunday, September 23.
A blacksmithing day is also planned at member Michael Newell's property, with work boots an essential part of the attire on September 30.
