FANATIC Gold Coast Titans supporter Peter Burles is wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Literally.

The Tweed Heads West resident is sporting fresh ink in support of his favourite team on his right forearm.

The passionate fan unveiled his Titans team emblem and name tattoos yesterday, ahead of tomorrow night’s do-or-die clash against the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL semi-finals at Skilled Park.

But the 58-year-old said there was still room on his arm for a long list of premierships titles, starting with 2010.

“The Titans are the most stable bunch of the lot and I hope they can do these tattoos justice,” Mr Burles said.

“They’ve had a stand out season and I believe they will take home the premiership this year.”

The Labor Party Tweed branch president said his tattoos manage to cause a stir wherever he goes.

“It gets a lot of comments from people, most of them just look at it and think it’s a temporary tattoo,” he said.

The passionate fan said he was hoping to show off his tattoo to the team some day.

“Hopefully they like it, maybe they will even get some inspiration from it,” he said.

The proud fan has followed the Titans since its inaugural season in 2007. “They’re a testament to the game. They’re the most solidified team I’ve seen in a while,” he said.

“This has been their best season. Preston Campbell, Mat Rogers and Scott Prince are the playmakers. They have some bright, up-and-comers as well. Plus they have a bloody good coach.”

Mr Burles already has his prediction set for tomorrow’s match, even though he has yet to secure tickets.

“Titans will get over the Warriors by 12 points and hopefully I’m there to see it,” he said.

“I’m hoping a mate will come through with some tickets, otherwise I’m going to be watching it at home in the lounge with a fridge full of beer.”
