Luke Baker goes for the ball for Tweed-Coolangatta Blues.
TWEED-Coolangatta Blues are braced for a fiery clash in their final game of the season against Palm Beach Currumbin this afternoon at Salk Oval.
The Blues have had an uphill battle for most of the Pineapple Hotel Cup season as they have been ravaged by injury and youthful inexperience.
Coach Grant McKenzie remembered the previous victory against Palm Beach in round five and hoped for another win.
“I think our blokes are up for the game and there is a lot of rivalry...like a local derby for these guys,” he said.
“As far as tactics go, I am just looking for enthusiasm.”
The bounce is 2pm.
In other matches, Burleigh host Surfers Paradise, Mayne take on Wilston Grange, Sandgate plays Springwood and Noosa face Maroochy/Northshore.
